My name is Don Barr. I was stationed in CES from 1986-1989. My first wife lost a set of twins and almost died in the process. She got pregnant again, and we had a daughter with gastroschisis. Her intestines, liver, and part of her stomach were on the outside. While at Lackland getting fixed… we saw our old neighbors whose daughter LaShawn V. , 16 years old was dying from cancer. She had babysat for us the year before was healthy so quite a shock. LaShawn died, my daughter lived but wasn’t supposed to. I have insomnia and degenerative disc disease. VA says this is normal aging… I’m 53….had a desk job for years. Also, have cataracts in both eyes severe.

Hi Don, Just checking to see if you knew my grandpa Homer Morgan. He worked as an inspector in CE for housing during that time. I was there as a kid while my dad was active duty too.
