My name is George Gibson. I am a dependent of Paul Gibson. My dad and family lived at 153 Oregon Street From 1969-72. My Dad was a career Airman from 1955-75. He achieved the rank of Ssgt and his mos was communications/cryptography. I remember George AFB as one of the best times of my life. Not knowing what was ahead of my life even though I had no clue of my conditions actually started there in Victorville has been a total shock. I have also served this country as well from 1981-87 In the US ARMY. I went to school on base from 3rd-5th grade. I played T-ball, swam in the base pool went skinny dipping when the Mojave River still flowed through there and drank plenty of kool-aid …. Fast forward to my adult life I have serious health issues. Pulmonary embolism, fibrosis, scleroderma, high blood pressure diabetes, high cholesterol just to name a few. But more importantly I have had a double lung transplant and now I need a kidney transplant as well, I’m at stage 4 kidney disease. Furthermore, my oldest sister passed away in 2001 and my father Paul Gibson passed away in 2006. The Government nor the DOD, US Air Force has not notified me of any exposure to toxic waste.
